Gondwana Etosha Safari Camp ★★★

Very Private rooms with lots of space and a very nice bathroom. The live music at the boma was very nice. THe breakfast was very tasty with a large variety to choose from. It is very close to the Etosha Park which is a bonus.

We needed a little more closet space.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the lodge was very close to Etosh, and the game view has very nice.

The only thing not so plus was the price on the dinner 330 nads was a bit excessive for the buffet provided, and you have no alternative in 70 kil. But overall it was a very nice stay.

The accommodation was very nice with a surprise:the shower in the shape of an elephant. The dinner we appriciated all.

That we had to pay for the entire stay non refundable at the reservation in our case 10 months before the arrival

During our self drive trip to Namibia, we visited Etosha National Park. We have chosen this accommodation because - besides from the reviews we found online - we wanted to stay near Anderson's Gate. The location of this camp is really good, just a few kilometers from the Anderson's Gate and it's located up in a hill right at the side of the road. We stayed in one chalet which had a really large room and very good bathroom. It also had a small porch. Our chalet had a lot of privacy - as I believe the remaining have - which was really good. The restaurant and terrace area was very nice with plety of tables around and a bar. The swimming pool seemed nice, but we didn't used it. The staff was nice and friendly and ready to help when needed. We didn't had the dinner, as we preferred to eat some self-catering we carried with us at the chalet. The breakfast was good with plenty of options.

The wifi was a joke. When we arrived, we needed to ask the lady at the bar to help us connecting and she only could do it by restarting the router. After a while, we realize that all arriving guests had the same problem, so the lady at the bar needed to restart the router each new gust arrived. A couple of weeks before my arrival I've sent an email asking if it would be good to book the half day game drive in advance and we received the answer that we could just book it on arrival. I've done it on arrival but... it was fully booked. So, if you want to book a game drive, book it in advance.

Loved the evening atmosphere and food. Chef was out checking that everyone was satisfied which was nice touch. Live music from local musicians playing through dinner. It was also very family friendly. Nice clean pool. Perfect location not far from Andersons Gate. Was able to do a self drive to the park after check in. Staff were wonderful.

Our chalet was quite far from the main lodge and dinning area so make sure you have a torch for the walk back and entering your chalet. You can request a member of staff to escort you. Having said that chalets were clean and I think newly refurbished and I would definately recommend this property especially if you are traveling with children.

Wonderful setting, and great facilities. Close to Etosha, with excellent food. Great staff. Lots of birds too. Perhaps you could put out a few bird baths in selected spots.

Our cottage faced the afternoon sun and we could not sit on the verandah in the afternoon. The cottage should have faced the other way. Bad planning from the architects, but otherwise it was great. We carried our chairs around the cottage into the shade. Also, the waste grey water formed a swamp at a low point, and if the wind blew from that direction, we had a smell of sewerage.

Rooms are separate cabins with individual parking spaces in front. You can order lunch packs the night before, these were very good and substantial at N$100/p. Dinner very good (N$300/p), buffet was a good selection of starters, soup, mains, dessert. Staff were friendly and attentive. There is live music every night which was really enjoyable. The hotel is about a 5min drive to the Andersson gate so we were very happy to stay here and be a short drive to Etosha.

Wifi was patchy in the communal area of the hotel. We were in cabin 7, the air con was too small for the room and was leaking, needs maintenance to fix.

This was a wonderful location close to Etosha and the rooms were exceptionally comfort and stylish. We loved the shower with the elephant mural. After sitting in the car In the heat, the pool was so refreshing. The dining/bar area had such great quirky chairs. Loved this place and wish we had longer.

Covered in chemicals from faulty water system. In process of reporting incident to Namibian Health Authority and Tourist Board. Food appalling.

Location was excellent; good service, and the game drive was very good and quite reasonably priced Good breakfast

The cottages seem to have been renovated a short while ago but not yet completely finished. I was in no 16, and there were no chairs and no table inside - although lots of space

The room was a bit small, but the bathroom was big and very special! We loved the restaurant in the middle of an open place. Very cosy! The young people who worked there were very friendly. There were very good omelets and pancakes.

The novel shebeen format for the dining area. Live music every night. Excellent buffet. Extremely friendly and helpful service. Also very good location with respect to access to the Etosha National Park

Separate chalets nice and private. Funky restaurant and bar.

Just a few little things in chalet. Toilet roll holder, shelves for clothes and towel rails. Rest was great especially shower

The ambiance of this safari camp surpassed all the other 4 we stayed while in the Etosha area. The cottages are private, well decorated with a very safari theme. The drives are all brick rather than the usual dirt/gravel. The dining area was superb, done in a circular fashion with lots of animal drawings and other African themes. All open air with a fire pit in the middle. Who ever did the layout/design should get an award.

Great atmosphere, room were big, clean and bright. People working were all smily and helpful with a super positive attitude. Meals were good, swimmingpool clean and the beers great!! All the rooms are quiet and inmerse in nature.

Despite being delicious and with a lot of choice I found the price for the buffet dinner a bit too high. There is no supermarket in a 70km radius so if you come unprepared you'll have to eat at the resturant. Lets say it was a bit cheeky :)

Wonderful sunsets. Buffet breakfast and dinner was nice. Truthfully, not outstanding cuisine, but there was plenty to pick from. Pool is terrific. Location close to Etosha was tremendous. Entertainment at dinner was fun, and I'm not usually the sociable type.

More fruit...what's with Africa? Fruit all over the place, except on the breakfast buffet. But overall, my wife and I really enjoyed this place. Not luxurious, but it has a real African feel to it.

the shower was old run down and intermittently hot and cold, dreadful! no tv, no hairdryer, no fridge, no fan or a/c no a la carte menu for dinner

Best way to end our Namibian tour. What an amazing place. Felt part of the family. Great spot, great team there and the evening entertainment was legendary! Will remember my time here for the rest of my life!

I had to go home!

Had a fabulous stay at the lodge. Food was fantastic and the staff very friendly.

I booked for me and my husband and don't know what happened and we had to pay for one person cause booking was only for 1. Because of the inconvenience I had to cut my holiday sort and didn't visit places that I booked.

The decor is VERY original and will be remembered. Music by the fire at night a absolute delight. Food is great, service of staff even better and with a smile.

Beds are hard. Wine list can be improved.
